Kainos

Each year Peninsula Associates supports and promotes a holiday charity as an avenue for PA to give back to the community and an opportunity to teach our children about caring and sharing. This year we are happy to support Kainos Home and Training Center in Redwood City. (www.kainosusa.org; ph:650-363-2423).

Kainos’ mission is to provide residential, vocational, recreational and social services, with the highest quality training and support, to adults with developmental disabilities. The goal is for each individual to become an active, contributing member of our local community. Safeway, Target, Piazza, Nob Hill, PJCC, Kohlweiss, Pet Food Depot and many other local businesses employ Kainos-trained workers. Currently 68 adults with developmental disability (including former PA clients) live away from home in Kainos’ supported, independent living or residential programs.
